I-Ching is the oldest, most famous, most frequently used fortune telling technique of China. It is the consolidation of ancient Chinese wisdom and timeless research and development. ' I ', the system of ying and yang, has been invented by King Wen, the imperor of Zou dynasty of China in around 1000 BC. ' I ' was invented so that people can use this system of ying and yang to predict the future by deciphering the mechanism of the universe. The ancient Chinese believed that the mechanism of the universe is simply our God which dictates the purposes of all matters, propels all objects, and runs our lives. God, the mechanism of the universe, is not a living being but is just the movement of the entire universe. You can think of God as the DNA of this universe. God is the mathematical formula which governs all matters. God has a predestined future and a predestined past, and it can be mathematically calculated using astrological and natural signs. The ones who use astrology and natural signs to determine the movement of the universe (God) are called "prophets". A Chinese prophet uses I-Ching, the system of ying and yang, to decipher God's numbers in order to predict future events. I am not saying that I-Ching is God. I am saying that I-Ching is just a tool used to decipher God's codes enabling humans to predict the future. God is like physics, and I-Ching is like calculus or geometry. I-Ching is a language that Chinese prophets use to communicate with God.

King Wen of Zou Dynasty was the father of ' I ', the system of ying and yang. After King Wen has invented the system, many astrologers and prophets have also contributed to the study of ' I '. Nobody knows who contributed what section at what era. All we knew is that the study of ' I ' comes from China.

Around the first century, a Chinese military strateger wrote the book "I-Ching". The name of the author is unknown. This book "I-Ching" is based on the system of ying and yang, which is "I". I-Ching was originally a diary which the military strateger used to record the forecasts and the actual results. The astrological or natural signs that the author received before an event occurred is a forecast, and the result is the future. The book I-Ching helped us understand what astrological or natural sign will most likely lead to what kind of future. After the birth of the book I-Ching, many prophets, notorious astrologers, and fortune tellers have also contributed their findings, experiences, and developments into the study of "I". Nowadays when someone mentions the word I-Ching, he is referring to the entire study of "I", which has been contributed and consolidated into one huge study by many top Chinese astrologers and prophets throughout the centuries.
